The 9/11 Community Needs Your Help: Take Action
The responders and survivors of 9/11 are urging you to call your members of Congress to support the 9/11 Responder and Survivor Health Funding Correction Act of 2023.
What is the 9/11 Responder and Survivor Health Funding Correction Act of 2023?
The legislation would fully support medical coverage for the 120,000 responders and survivors of the 9/11 attacks. First responders didn't hesitate to help others on 9/11, and for their selflessness and their sacrifice, far too many are afflicted with terrible diseases, from cancers to respiratory ailments. The World Trade Center Health Program paying for their treatment is the least owed to them.
Consequences if the 9/11 Responder and Survivor Health Funding Correction Act of 2023 is not passed
If Congress doesn't pass this legislation, those now applying for WTC Health Program benefits, including free medical monitoring and cancer treatments, may be denied. As of last week, every member from New York became a sponsor. Members from New Jersey are far behind, with half missing from the sponsors' list. Unfortunately, Connecticut is even worse with only one Congress member as a sponsor.
